Whitney Houston Dead at Age 48

At 3:55pm (PST), the Voice of Pop/R&B was silenced forever. While preparing for Clive Davis’ annual Pre-Grammy party at the Beverly Hilton hotel, a member of Whitney Houston’s entourage found the music legend dead in her hotel room. No cause of death has been revealed as of yet but sources close to the singer said that they spoke with her earlier today and she seemed fine; foul play nor drug overdose has been suspected. Houston was Davis’ date for the party, hosted every year the night before the Grammy’s, which is scheduled to still be held as planned and will now feature tribute performances from Alicia Keys, Brandy, Monica, and Mary J. Blige.

Whitney Houston was 48 years old and is survived by her mother, legendary gospel and background singer Cissy Houston, and daughter, Bobbi Kristina.
