[Music Monday] Download OR Delete!

Thanks to all of our loyal MCP readers and followers, our first week of Download or Delete was a huge hit and we know it’ll only rise from there!

This week, we wanted to show some variety with the selections so we have up for votes records from an Auto-Tune-free singing rapper riding along with a G.O.O.D. companion, an R&B superwoman who has proven she can do it all, and a female quartet on the verge of taking their talent and music to the bank.

RoJay: “I love the feel of this record. Looks like Kid Cudi is showing a little variation to his style, but B.o.B may already have this lane covered. We’ll see if he is too late with this flip from what we became familiar with to make it work for him.”

Shooter: “I appreciate the fact that Cudi didn’t go the Auto-Tune route with his singing. I think his raw, flat vocals actually work with the quirkiness of the song. And Kanye delivered a classic verse. Radio should eat this up and you should definitely download it so you can burn it on your brain first!”

RoJay: “Kandi obviously hit it hard with this record! She has a winner and now I’m actually more than excited to see what else she is about to bring with her long-awaited sophomore joint. Lyrics you can relate to, raw emotion and a great vocal will win me over every time! Definitely worth the download!”

Shooter: “I dig how a lot of the female R&B singers are returning to sing and Kandi definitely delivers this record. It’s a reminder of how unique her tone is and and I like how she’s coming with a record that’s purer in sound than what was on her debut. She’s got some soul in her and Jazze hooked this one up so downloading it should be a no-brainer.”

“I’m lookin’ like a centerfold, so fly/Shawty walked by, tried to catch my eye/Had him on his tippy-toes, won’t lie/A Richgirl put him on a natural high”

RoJay: “These vocals put in me in the mind of Xscape. I like the key this song is sung in way more than “He Ain’t Wit’ Me Now (Tho)”. Maybe Dre and Vidal will make me fans of theirs because Rich Harrison had them sounding like three Ameries and a Beyonce. LOL! Nice joint.”

Shooter: “I was a casual fan of RichGirl but this record makes me want an album from them. Their voices are dope and I love the attitude on it. It reminds me of how the game is missing a real girl group and if the cards are played right, they could fill that role. No need to compare them to the groups that have come before them; just download this track and enjoy them for who they are.”
